Support
a patent application for a medical data collection system.
Design data acquisition and processor support electronics
and integrate it with a wireless messaging system.
PacInfo's Solution:
Developed a prototype for a medical data collection
system that would use a 2-way pager protocol to transmit data from a patient's
home to the physician's office.
A commercial bathroom scale was interfaced to the pager system using a
PC and specially developed interface hardware. The bathroom scale had to be reverse-engineered
to determine the characteristics of its display so that the interface could be
designed.
The Motorola Create-a-Link pager system came with
a software layer that had to be ported from its native
Windows environment to the MS-DOS environment for access to the hardware ports and for real-time program execution.
